ACT I / PAST

FURNITURE FACTORY

Sungei Kadut is now a shell of its past. It was once the centre of a thriving timber industry.

Act I takes you back to the 1970s of nation-building and the numerous campaigns exhorting us to work harder and better. In this former furniture factory, the artworks explore the value chain and its relation to management, labour, and productivity.
